It was such a pleasure to work with Linda and Tyler on their beautiful wedding day. Linda was absolutely stunning with a 1930s retro glam look. Complete with the old-fashioned "bird-cage veil", finger waves hair, peacock feathers, and white roses. Linda`s incredible hair was done by the talented Jennifer Harder.
Even mother nature pitched in for this one ... granting the Brides wish for snow on her wedding day. As soon as we opened up the doors following the ceremony, the snow started. Huge, giant chunks of snow that fell all night long. We couldn't resist ... and snuck out for an unplanned dance in the snow for more pictures. It was magical.

We were honored to be asked to capture Marty and Sally`s very unique wedding day. These are two of the most wonderful people - they know how to live, play, and love to the fullest extent.
I knew we were in for some extreme wedding photography as soon as the Groom hopped on his longboard, and cruised down Vancouver hill in his tux - at full speed!
There were Harley bikes, longboards, hula hoops, a bright green jeep, and the beautiful Penticton beach. But most importantly...the one and only longboarding bride! She rode right down the isle...speeding straight into the arms of her Groom. He picked her up off the board, and then spun her around in the air!
What a beautiful day!

Ride The Spark
Our next entry for MOFILM, was for the Barcelona 2010 "make an ad contest". We choose the Chevrolet Spark brand.
The funny thing is - this edit that won us third place, was actually the emergency back-up plan!
I spent a very chilly day filming with Todd MacCormac in Penticton. He painted for hours while I recorded. Two cameras. One on a tripod, for a "time-lapse" video, and the DSLR for all the other footage. It turned out BEAUTIFULLY! Todd is so talented. I just gave him a picture of the car..and he made it come to life on the wall. Too cool. So much fun to watch!
The next morning, we showed up with all our equipment, dancers, and an actress. To our horror, the wall had been painted over! The entire area - two buildings full of beautiful graffiti ART was ruined by some very uncreative graffiti. Just scribbles and words. Useless. So many creative hours by many artists - ruined.
This was a perfect example of "when life gives you lemons, you make lemon-aid"
So, plan B. We still recorded our dancer and actress, but unfortunately the footage couldn't be fit in. They were scripted to do their parts in front of the car - and interact / react to the car. What a bummer.
This is when the 911- backup plan came to light. The footage of Todd painting the car was so good on its own, it became the story...and the rest is history!
What a great experience...because of its challenges. Overcoming all of this, and placing 3rd was the sweetest reward ever! Thanks MOFILM and Chevrolet.
